<div id="_mcePaste">Pete’s solo performances are legendary, playing songs from the widest possible range of era’s and styles. Always entertaining, Pete’s goal is to ensure the audience has a great time and that’s why so many people keep coming back for more. What makes it so much more satisfying is that Pete is out for a good time too and that comes through strongly in the performances.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste">Pete chooses his set ranging from lilting Irish ballads through to hard driving rock classics, songs to remind you of every era, a soundtrack to your life. Artists covered include The Who, The Kinks, Manic Street Preachers, U2, Stereophonics, The Jam, Space, Soul Asylum, Kings of Leon, Steve Earle, The Dublineres, REM, Iggy Pop, Buzzcocks, The Clash, Free, Bad Company, Rolling Stones, The Killers, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Bo Diddley, Elvis – Costello and Presely, The Beatles, Squeeze, The Velvet Underground, Tom Jones, Nat King Cole, Bobby Darrin, traditional Irish songs, great rock and roll classics, the blues, country, new wave, punk…….on and on and on it goes, no sleep till bedtime, last man standing……..</div>
<div id="_mcePaste">Pete studied singing under a nationally recognised vocal trainer in Wales and has been playing guitar as a soloist and in bands for many years.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste">Pete has performed at the international annual Kinks Fan Club Convention in London for the last 6 years, playing support to The Kinks, here Pete selects Kinks rarities and less well known tracks and gives them his own acoustic interpretation. Recently Pete recorded an acoustic arrangement of the Kinks classic album the Village Green Presentation Society with an acoustic band.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste">Pete also performs with a band, featuring drums and bass guitar with occasional guest keys.</div>

<div id="_mcePaste">Pete has written many songs for solo performance and for bands, the material draws on life experiences and social comments. The songs have melodic tunes with interesting lyrics. Pete’s material has been recorded at the famous BBC Radio Maida Vale Studios in London which were played on Radio 1 shows including the John Peel Show. Some of these songs appear on the Pete Watkins album ‘Madness In My Method’, a selection of songs written for The Reactions and The Steps. .Keep posted for news of the occasional performances of Pete Watkins original material.</div>
