ORIGINAL MUSIC BANDS

The Pete Watkins Originals – has featured Pete Watkins guitar & vocals, Dave Favis-Mortlock on fiddle. Bass from Colin Baker, Gordon Raitt and Gary Warmington and percussion from Drew Pountney. The Originals perform Pete Watkins songs in an exciting acoustic roots style. The current core lineup features Pete Watkins on gtr and vocals, Gordon Raitt on bass and Drew Pountney on percussion.

Sunny Afternoon –  An authentic 60’s beat group band covering songs from the great bands who defined the most influential decade in the history of popular music, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Small Faces and many more from both sides of the Atlantic. Available for functions, fully self contained with PA and lights.

On Saturday 24th August 2013 Sunny Afternoon played an exclusive ticket only gig at Deddington Church, an awesome venue. Organised by Smile Promotions.

The Pete Watkins Band – a general cover band ideal for weddings and celebrations.  Covering a wide selection of popular music from the last 6 decades. Pete likes to personalise the performances by taking time to understand exactly what the party requires, from the opening dance to family favourites. The core band is a three piece of guitar/bass and drums including two vocals, the band be expanded on request. email or call Pete to discuss the available options.  Fully self contained with PA and lights.

In 2009 Pete recorded a unique acoustic version of the classic Kinks album ‘The Kinks are The Village Green Preservation Society’ . Along with Gary Warmington on bass and Mike Freer on drums this arrangement was performed in front of The Kinks at the annual fan club conventions in London and Utrecht.
